David Kalakaua (Statue under Banyan Tree)
The weathered Statue of David Kalakaua gazes out from under an ancient Banyan tree, across from East Hawaii Cultural Center in Hilo, Hawaii.
The Snowy Egret
Elegantly perched on his bending reeds, this regal Snowy Egret surveys his peaceful marsh land. The most beautiful of all the egrets, this heron was sought after for its gorgeous white plumage until it became illegal to hunt.
